The monsters created by this system seems to make monsters more durable and less deadly and seems to be a better challenge for the players. The 5e monster creation guidelines are wrong While messing around with monster creation, I started comparing 5e Monster Manual creatures with the 5e guidelines for creating monsters (DMG page 274). Dec 10, 2014 Dungeon Master’s Guide and Monster Creation. At last the Dungeon Master’s Guide has been released, which allows all of us playing D&D 5E to finally have the full system and start properly evaluating what it is and what it does.
