All about the Berserker, Warrior Elite Specialization to be released with Heart of Thorns. Updated with info from beta weekend 3..

The Berserker elite specialization can be obtained at level 80 with Heart of Thorns. It gives the Warrior access to two Torch skills, modify the F1 burst skills to Primal Burst skills, and six utility skills.

Contents

Note on tooltip damage numbers: The damage numbers are level 80 while wearing exotic Berserker armor/accessories with Runes of the Scholar. (2333 power, 1095 toughness, 1095 vitality, 1852 precision, 952 ferocity, 95 condition damage). No traits are selected. This was done to standardize the comparison of abilities across multiple elite specializations.

Jun 12, 2018 I was wondering if razorclaw's additional bleeds are based on the revenant's own bleed damage and duration when applied to allies similar to ashes of the just's burns. Sorry if this has already been posted. Kalla is more DPS. Icerazors Ire is better against small targets and Citadel Bombardment is better vs big targets. Razorclaws Rage is just insane, its 50 stacks of bleeding.Lasting Legacy is better in most cases (+10% condition damage).Full Viper, since you have 4 different main damaging conditions. Strictly for condition bombs by offering massive, hard-to-negate damage due to its rapid output of non-projectile interrupts. Lacks the anti-condition protections other Warrior builds offer via Cleansing Ire and Brawler's Recovery, and prone to energy starvation/being kited due to lack of Fast Hands, Versatile Rage and Burst Mastery. Apr 12, 2018 soulcleave like razorclaw doesnt have to be on point and increase the dmg and sustain of the backline. So for wvw 2 utilities can be cast from range and doesnt have to be killed immediately from dmg or cc while 2 others bit problematic and easy killed by melee enemies.

Gw2 Does Razorclaw's Rage Condition Dmg Mean

in Revenant

I know why Razorclaw is so angry. He's got this cool animation where lightning shoots out of his sword, but all it does is give people paper cuts.

  • Because he's too busy attacking supply depots and flagpoles.

  • Yeah, Razorclaw's Rage really needs a buff.

and why doesn't Icerazor apply chill?

I suspect it's because ArenaNet decided that combining it with Abyssal Chill to stack Torment was just too much.

Then why they called it ICErazor ???

Because they'd already named it before they introduced Abyssal Chill and realised the synergy it created, and didn't think to rename it.

Mind you, it's possible that they could get away with turning it (back?) into Chill now, and one thing they could possibly do is make it so that not every bolt that Icerazor throws inflicts Chill.

  • Razorclaw’s Rage truly is a horrible skill.

    1 second ICD
1 bleed stack at 2 seconds duration

    What is going on here?

  • In an ideal situation, it generates 50 stacks of bleeding, inflicting the equivalent of 100-200 seconds of bleeding over the course of 11-13 seconds in PvE, and 200-400 seconds of bleeding over the course of 13-17 seconds in competitive. They probably balanced according to the ideal situation without thinking about how often the ideal situation can actually be realistically expected to occur.

I guess Skale Venom and Spider Venom have flown under the radar for years then.

I mean, Sun Spirit is the closest analog as far as I am concerned. That generates 20 stacks of burning at 2.5 seconds. More over, for that first 10 second window it is actually 40 stacks of burning at 2.5 seconds. This is not even in the same ballpark. On top of that, the radius is 600 base and 900 with trait, compared to 360 for Razorclaw’s Rage.

Both of those have actually been the recipients of buffs over the years, if anything.

Honestly, I think the only explanation is that someone overestimated the effect Razorclaw's Rage would have through looking at the theoretical numbers and didn't consider how unreliable getting those numbers was. Or it used have no interval, and they found that was broken when combined with multiple-small-hits attacks and put in the interval to fix it, and didn't realise they'd nerfed it into uselessness.

I'm absolutely not defending it. My first sentence in this thread was, after all, 'Yeah, Razorclaw's Rage really needs a buff.' Merely speculating about how a skill that is so bad it pretty much might as well not exist except as a trap for the uninitiated might have come to be.

  • I’d like to see Razorclaw receive additional utility (like maybe a smoke field) game-wide and then also a damage increase in PvP/WvW. It’s fine in PvE and provides enough damage there.

Also side note, summons not having combo fields (outside of Soulcleave whose combo field is bugged) was a big missed opportunity that could have made Renegade better. Having access to water, Dark, ice, smoke, and fire fields would give Renegade more interesting gameplay
