Hello there. Information of this seems sparse. I'm looking at fine details, not just matter-of-fact.
I'm wondering how damage/healing items work.
Specifically:
What does this do: [up to 40 damage / healing] ?
What does this do: [+40 damage]?
What does this do: [+40 healing]?

I believe these are based on cast times for the maximum effect .. but 'up to X damage'? does that mean 1dX RNG? Up to 40 damage is 1d40 damage? AVG~20?
Cast time matters. An instant cast, as a wand, cannot expect those rewards. But what about wands with +damage or +healing? Healing wands are very sought after.
Is there a difference between [up to] damage vs +damage . or [up to] healing vs direct +healing
Anyways, an explanation of +damage +healing items would be appreciated. It's probably simple, yet elusive to me. Thanks!

I've noticed a lot of wand physical damage nodes around the witch area, am I wrong in assuming they're only good for wand auto attacks? If not, what else does wand physical damage effect? (even if it's not good)

There are, in fact, some physical wander builds lying around. They often make use of the passive nodes '2% of phyical damage leeched back as mana' or something, and they have mana leech on their gear aswell. It's very gear dependent though, and not necessarily better than an elemental wander.

Phy wand dmg is good for both Power Siphon and Frenzy.
It's were a wander get's mana leech and Life leech when not useing the support gems in a link. So my L-6 looks like this. Power Siphon/Chain/Accuracy/Power Charge on Crit/Weapon Elementl Dmg/Elemental Prolif. Shock/Freez/Chill/Ignite everything lol. Will openly emite wanding is kind of weak early mid game at least for me do to being realy gear dependit.
And even a Phy dmg wander normaly do's as much if not more elemental dmg if you go full Wand passives.
And I would not recomed a Wanding build to some one totaly new to POE ether. You realy got's to know what your doing with it.

why on earth would you link power charge on crit to power siphon? it already grants a charge on enemy death???

I don't think you should be giving wander advice.

Kripp's is not about phys. There is Phy/CI/IR HC shadow guide, can be modified for OP's needs.

Discharge's/Cold Snaps and prolonged boss fights. Yes power siphon do's grant 1 and only 1 power charge per cast if you kill something and you normaly kill alot of somethings but only get 1 power charge. This way I build charges faster.

Feb 01, 2013 Wand damage is the physical damage that your wand does. Spell damage is the damage your spell does. You see passives for wand damage because dual-wielding wands is an alternative build to using a bow. Damage from wand is only affected by wand damage mods on tree and do not interfere with your spell damage.

  2. The amount increased is dependant on both class and level. For most level 60 character classes, approximately 20 points of AGI will increase your chance to dodge by approximately 1%. Rogues only require 14.5 AGI for an additional 1% dodge chance. Hunters require 26.5 AGI for an additional 1% dodge chance.
